Another tough day at Reiter, however, I was happy to arrive early to a light snow which got heavier as the morning progressed and then died off. And I was very happy to tie on a glow ball and fish old school for an hour with my drift gear in the dark. It brought back some good memories, but unfortunately no fish. Once things got light the drift gear got put away and I was back to floats/jigs with shrimp. I tried several different colors today, light, dark, and in-between. The water was perfect, the crowds very tolerable. A dozen on the hatchery side and we had six on the highway side.
Ran into DW... (Dave)... from the site, we commiserated our lack of success. Hope you got out of the snow drift OK Dave.
Saw one caught and one lost on the hatchery side, and a skilled angler and new WashingtonLakes member took out two chrome bright fish, all I saw come out of the highway side. So cudos to you, your’s was the hot rod today!
As for me, well, I got the fishing bug under control until next week. :-)
