Well this is my first post on Washingtonlakes and as fortune would have it I can report a successful day. I made it up to the highway side of Reiter and found a fresh blanket of snow and an empty parking lot! Funny how you always seem to put your gear on just a bit faster knowing there is a chance that you are going to be the first! So with headlamp adorned I broke trail down the slippery slope through the fresh snow. I found my spot down river from the hatchery hole and waited for daylight and wouldn’t you know first cast BAM, fish on! A nice buck that gave me one good jump then lazily came to shore. About an hour later I found his partner a nice hen that chose to hug the bottom all the way in. Mike sorry I was camera shy when I walked by you hope to see you on the water again when I’m not in such a rush to get home!

Beautiful fish! Thanks for the report. Must have been cold out there. Hoping to get out on Friday, better figure out how I'm going to keep the blood flowing to my fingers.

There is nothing more beautiful than a pair of steelhead side by side in the show.....
