Was able to spend nearly four hours fishing the Snoqualmie today between 11am and 3pm. Seems like I can only get out when the fish are not active. The weather was gorgeous. Covered about a half mile stretch of water along David Powell Rd. floating jigs. I tried multiple patterns, colors, and leader lengths hitting every slot, seam, riffle, and boulder I could get my gear into. Came back and hit a few places two or three times after giving them a rest and then using different presentations , but sure didn't result in anything for me. Not even a take down. Didn't see any boats come through while there. Saw other people fishing and not catching too. Didn't think I'd have a problem meeting my paltry goal of four Steelhead this winter, but I'm starting to get worried. At least the wind wasn't blowing and the temps were above freezing. Very pleasant....except for NO fish!
