I figured there wouldn't be any steelhead, but mabye some dollies around. With the river being low and clear now, I crossed and walked up a nice boulder and first cast caught a dollie. It was only about 14 inches. I'm using 6lb on a 10'6" 2-8lb. I cast back out again to same spot and bobber went down again, I felt some head shaking then it was off. I fished the entire strech and then one other hole with no other take downs.
I fished for about 1 hour. There was few guys down there but didn't talk to anybody. I pour my own jigs and lost a lot of fish on the mustads (they are the same hook as the Gamaktasu just a lot cheaper). I swithced to the Owner because the point curves in a little. When i check for sharpness on my hooks, I drag it across my fingernail. The owners stiil grab after dragging them through the rocks but the mustads don't. Also, On the powder coat, I bake them at 300 for 30 minutes and the paint doesn't chip. The directions say 350 for 20 minutes, but those will chip fairly quick.
