Hit the Sky on the highway side at Reiter, fishing from about 11:00 - 2:30. Despite the cold, choosing the side of the river not in the sun, and my absent minded gear mistake, it was a nice day even if I couldn't bank anything.

I saw three fish brought to the bank in the short time I was there and had one take down I fought for a few but lost. On the very next cast I got snagged on something and broke off my whole setup. I tied on another float and added a shrimp tipped pink jig and cast again. For some reason my setup only went about 60 feed before dropping to the water!?!? Reeled in and cast again...same result? I looked at my reel and I couldn't believe it - I was out of line. Damn. With only one rod, roughly 60 feet of line, and frozen toes I decided to call it a day and head home.

So, in the end, it was a nice day on the water that could have been much better if I checked my gear before loading up and heading out...lesson learnt. Better luck next time.
