Got up at 4, headed down to sultan to try and get one of those springers I've been hearing about, or maybe a steelhead.
I had pumped up about 40 sand shrimp and had some cured skeins, went through half of the sand shrimp and all of the eggs without a bite, without seeing a single fish. Pretty frustrating, this has been my third river trip this year getting absolutely skunked. But every time I've gone, no one else has caught anything either.
I was there from 5 to 11, saw zero hookups, zero fish caught, none of the guides drifting by caught anything either, so at least I was in good company. Hah!
I'll catch something some day! Getting sick of stocker trout.
