Got to Reiter on the highway side and fished cable hole in the morning mostly with a float and jig. The day was very slow with one fish taken on the hatchery side. Tried spoon fishing for a while with no luck also, on a snag I gave it a good tug and all I got for it was a broken pole :-(. Stayed until noon and decided to move downriver to my new go to spot and it didn't disappoint.

About 15 minutes in (Float fishing, jig (pink head white tail)) I had a strong hit, hook set and it immediately started taking out line. Got a good look and it had some size to it. A second later line went slack as my 8 lb leader snapped.

Re-tied moved slightly downstream and 15 minutes later bobber down (Same style jig). This one was a 5-6 lbs cookie cutter hen and my light gear handled her just fine. She put up a fight, then shot straight for me almost crashing into the shore and then she tried to run back out but it was too late :-). Headed home after that.
