7/14/2013 7:49:00 PMI've never fished that river, but if it is anything like where I get my summer steelhead this is what I do;
Clear 8 pound main uni knotted to 3 to 4 feet of 6 pound fluorocarbon. Use a clear float (cleardrift floats are good, but I prefer adjust-a-bubbles with some water in them) and put on a 1/8 or 1/16th ounce jig in dark colors. I prefer a blood red jig head with double beads and a black tail, or black head with two beads and a black tail. There are a lot of darker colors that work, you just have to be confident and find what works for you!
