Well Sickbayer and I hit up the lower skagit this morning for humpies. We started out plunking sandshrimp bellow Mount vernon and got one right away. Did not see anything else so we headed down and anchored just above the spud bar. Watched all the plunkers pick off one here and there. We ended up loosing a fish there after we switched to plunking spoons. Started to get slow so I called for a move upriver. On the way I saw fish surfacing along a sandbar so I figured it was time to bust out the jigs. Made a drift along the sandbar and ended up hooking a fish but lost it. So we anchor up and start casting away. I ended up loosing one before I got my second fish in the boat. Sickbayer lost one before he lost his only jig. After that I lost a couple more and decided to call it a day. There are good amounts of fish pishing up considering its just the begining. Good luck out there.

Thanks for the report. Wasn't sure there would be any fish up here so early.
