Hey fellow anglers went out to Lowell rd this morning got there around 5:30 casting from the shore till about 8:30 it was low tide ( I don know how much a factor that plays). used a pink spoon, buzz bomb, an a humpy death jig an not one strike. I only saw one guy land a fish on a boat fishing the other side of the river as me. Didn't see any rollers or any surfacing either. Idk if it just wasn't a good morning or if it's just me. If I could get some advice on what there biting on right now an some helpful pointers that would be great. Thanks an tight lines!

Your pink spoons swung near the bottom or pink jigs lightly twitched deep will do it. But since you see no rollers you can't blame yourself. Fish where the rollers and splashers are and you'll hook up. Next week will probably have more fish. Some rain would really get it going but that's not likely. .

Not to worry. Lots of us out there are getting very little or skunked. When they start biting it will be on. Not a lot of technique in pink fishing. It's still early and some rain would help also. We are just all antsy because we see them coming. Get a little frustrated they wont bite. Keep at it and full smokers for all!

It depends on how deep the water is and how swift the current. I usually use between 1 inch of pencil lead (1/4 oz?) to maybe 3 inches. You need enough so when you slowly reel it in (or swing it with the current), the DN will be a foot or so off the bottom. Be careful with DNs...if you pull too hard you can pull the tiny hook right out of a pink's mouth. And don't be fooled by fish splashing on the surface because they go right back to the bottom..so fish deep just off the bottom.
