This is going to be multiple reports compiled into one. So I went out fishing on Saturday morning at Douglas Bar and seen fish being caught and tons of rollers but didn't score any myself, then at about 9:00am I went to Thomas Eddy and fished till about noon, and nothing there either, but still bunches of fish rolling . Sunday I went out again to Thomas Eddy and caught a nice hen and buck both very good sized early at about 8:00am. I have photos but I'm on my work computer typing this out. I also went out Monday evening to try my luck but didn't catch a thing. I see people catching fish with Dick Nites, but I'm not sure what size or how to even set up a Dick Night for pinks. I see that there is typically no weight's used for that set up depending on the size of dick night you use. If anybody can give me some tips on what size Dick Nites and color and the most basic setup and technique to use those that would be great. I caught my two salmon on just pink squid jigs and pink feather jigs. Also I'm not sure whats working for catching these fish off the banks. I'm not sure if I should be jigging from the bottom or jigging more to the surface? I'm still kind of a newbie at this and want to maximize my fishing experience. If anybody is going to Thomas Eddy this weekend and would like to give me some pointers that would be greatly appreciated! Stay Safe, and fish on!
