I showed up in Monroe at 530 am my 2 other buddys were there already with a fish a piece on the bank. I hooked and released a maybe a 2lb hen. next cast float slam dunks and broke the main on the hook set. LOL!! bummed a float from my buddy and retied. I hit a rough patch for about 2 hrs with no fish. One friend had his limit by 7-7:30 the other had 3 fish and his dad had a limit also. I managed to grind out 2 fish by about 10 ish. The buddy I showed up with had 3 fish and he lost a jig, retied with a 2 bead marabou jig tipped with prawn. His first cast he gets #4. I asked for his rod, sure enough my next cast while he is recording his catch card I hook up; really good fish, chrome bright fight it for a few and it spit the hook.....Damb! Long story short the next 45 min I get my last 2 fish to fill my catch card plus loose 2 really nice fish.

I only rate this a 3 because of my early struggles. I was using some hand tied jigs that have been producing limits for me, however today that pattern didn't interest them. All 4 people I was fishing with got limits. I remembered last pink season I was using a pink 2 bead marabou jig and it was devastating. Today I will tie some up..

Best of luck everyone!!!

Noticed also our group of people were doing most of the catching. I noticed one other guy I assume tossing a Dic Nite, he was doing very well also, a few fish here and there...
