Want to know the best thing about a pink run? Less pressure on summer steelhead! Woke up early Saturday and decided to join everyone other person from Seattle on the Snohomish chasing pink. After changing spots a few times with zero luck, we decided to do some scouting and target some steelies up near Gold Bar. Found a hole all to ourselves that was rolling with fish but we couldn't seem to connect with anything. Tried twitching jigs, drifting yarn, and working a dicknite. Nada. We called out "last cast" and my buddy finally hooked into his birthday fish (a big pink on a blue/pink BlueFox). The fish was quickly released unharmed and we called it a day. This was my buddies first fish since the OP back in April so he was happy to get the skunk off. Successful day!
