Man, I'm having flashbacks to last season. I've stopped by 112th every morning this week and last Friday. Spent about 30-45 minutes fishing each trip, so cumulatively I've got about 3+ hours in over six days. In that time I've managed to go 0/1 with zero other hits. Maybe it's timing, but I thought I might see a little more action than that. Fortunately I don't see many other people hooking up while there (different than my introduction to Coho on the Duamish last year), so don't think it's my offering or presentation....to a degree, but have heard "You should have been here earlier!" or "You should have seen it last night!" a couple of times. Still waiting to be in the right spot at the right time I guess.
I thought this morning might be the one. Got there just before low tide. Plenty of surface action. Lots of people fishing. Saw a couple hooked and landed, but really not much else to speak of. Water color was pretty fair for all the rain we had last night. Thought it be a little more milky.

I went yesterday and only saw one fish on the bank. Not much action near the pedestrian bridge, but there were fish rolling through. Still a lot of fish waiting to come up the river though.

I was out this morning didn't see many pinks. I was hoping to maybe get some silvers but all I could hook up with were Kings they were stacked up. I had like 10 hook ups brought 3 in all Kings. I watched one guy land a King and take off running with it to his car.

Hooked, was that you under the bridge on the west side of the river? I would have been more than happy with some Chinook C&R, but don't think they're too keen on jigs. Maybe I should have switched over to spoons or spinners. Seems like every other trip to the river I hear about somebody running to their car with a King. Not surprised.

I stopped around 11am closer to Allentown, water was brown, not ideal, and too high when I was there, but saw a mix of pinks and silvers rolling, but not heavy....did not really fish since I was in between work stops, I think you got to find where they are in heavier, but I have never fished pinks in Duwamish only silvers....maybe closer to bottom with corky/ yarn as was suggested

I stopped by in my tie and saw fish rolling so ran to my truck and threw on my sweats and boots over my work clothes and ran down to the beach on the highway side for a few casts from about 8 to 9 but no luck as the water was starting to slow down. Will be hitting it tomorrow morning after I have some work in the early AM and will try throwing a bobber with pink worm/black head jig to see if that works! Keep at it, they are not even in that thick yet and silvers are just around the corner!

Barry, I saw you over there. I was on the opposite bank just south of the bridge. Saw the dress shirt and wondered if it was you, but since you were not wearing your token waders I wrote it off as someone else. LOL. Looked like you hooked a couple rockfish over there. Tough morning! I was twitching a pink worm on a white jig head. @Hooked and BD, I wrote off corkie and yarn last year due to too much lost gear, but may have to put that stuff back in my pack. Thanks for the comments guys. Nice to see you out there. :)
