I call it Jim Creek. I'm Navy and I limit out up here almost every time except when the wind blows. They won't let me bring in a float tube and I can't bring in my boat. Hell they won't even let me bring in my own anchor. Their's are new and cheap. If the wind blows at all, forget it, you are going across the lake. There are two docks to fish off and the lower dock has some decent fishing. If you want to get to the good spots you have to rent their boats at $10 a shot (1/2 a day), plus pay there $2 fee. I used to go up here all the time between 2000-2002 and limit out in about 20 minutes with a bobber and half a worm. Sometimes I would have to put a piece of power bait at the loop on the hook to get them to notice it. They moved their hours back so you can't get on the lake until 0800 anymore. That kind of blows. I was usually in my garage cleaning fish by that time. They used to open up at 0600. Everytime I go there, which isn't much anymore, I always caught a ton of planters 9-11 inches and 1 big one between 13-21 inches. Plenty of cutthroat fishing off the bottom as well. Best day ever was a few years ago and limited out on 13-21 inchers. Always fishing half a worm. Otters up there now and they are eating a ton of fish.
I have always heard about the bigger fish in the lower lake and I have fished it several times. Trolled, Power Bait, lure fished, bobber and worms, and I have caught about a billion small cut throats but never any Bows or any bigger Cut Throats.
I don't fish twin much anymore because there are tons of lakes closer that I can fish at and do just as good without paying the $10 boat rental and $2 fishing fee.
Anyway, I just transfered to a new command up in Whidbey, living in Arlington and am looking for another fishing buddy. My last one just transfered to San Diego. I am looking to buy a boat now that I am on shore duty and got time for it. If you are interested in either selling a boat or need someone to go fishing with let me know. joel.heater@navy.mil
Good fishing.
