Took my dad and daughter out today for dad to get a batch of pinks for his smoker and for me to try to get a few early Coho. As anyone who has been on the river lately knows, the fishing is ridiculous. Dick Nites, jigs under float, spinners, jigs twitched. It didn't matter, it all worked. Had a great time. My dad and daughter caught more fish than they could count. Sent him home with a dozen hens and I went home with 24 skeins which are all cured and in the bait freezer ready to catch fall Coho, Nooks, and winter Steel. I did tie into a few Coho. At the time, I was using a light trout rod tossing a Dick Nite into a pool. Could not put much pressure on them so lost them both. Switched rods but couldn't get another one on. So, no Silvers in the box but still a great day. Only complaint was the number of kids we saw on boats with no PFDs. Two of which were on a guide boat. Keep those kids safe everyone!
