It's never a bad fishing evening when land a Silver. Only 1 Silver tonight, 7 lb buck and super shiny chrome. He had to be pretty fresh out of the salt. Then I kept 3 pink hens for eggs and smoker meat.

Almost thought I wasn't going to get a silver. My buddy landed 2, my other buddy hooked one just behind the gill plate (bummer because it was a beautiful fish), and it was starting to get dark and I still didn't have one. I kept 2 pink hens pretty quickly after we got there at 5pm, then did catch and release on pinks until about 7pm, then kept a 3rd pink hen because it was getting late and I was starting to doubt I was going to get into a silver...then bam! It was probably a bit after 7:30 and it was getting to be pretty dark already and I roped in my silver...finally and in suspenseful fashion! LOL

Met up with another WALakes member, Shodogger and his son in law. We had a good time...well I know I did, and I'm pretty sure they did.

Pics are of my 7 lb silver buck. His meat is beautiful. Nice and deep ruby red color. Can't wait to enjoy dining on his flesh. ;) Ok...that sounded a bit like the Hannibal of the fishing world.
