headed out to the river this morning, with high hopes of baggin some coho. Nothing, started off fishing around 630. Pink after pink after pink. Boy my arm was tired. come 10am keeping a hen every hour. was getting tired and lazy, already sunburnt from yesterday. decided to catch my limit of pink hens. Cast. bounce bounce bounce bounce............tug. hook set. fish came in slowly, then starts peeling line running up river. holy crap. after a good 2 - 3 minute fight. brought it to shore. a booted nook hen. I estimate it to be around 15 pounds. kept it for the smoker. the meat was still good. and the eggs were still tight and should cure up well.
