If you don't mind me asking what us the best way to fish a dick nite on that river. It's pretty skinny and in some parts there are trees and other things in the way under the surface. My problem is I don't know how much weight to put on and if it is frogging or just spinning being useless. Any help would be appreciated!

Losing gear to trees and rocks is part of the game. Use enough weight to cast where you need to but only just enough that your offering can drift fairly free throughout the drift. The key to the DN is a SLOW retrieve. Maybe not even reeling unless the current isn't moving your line downstream. I like a 4-6 foot leader. Some people put 6-10 inches of line off a 3-way swivel to their weight to keep the spoon up a bit. Doesn't really seem to matter that much in my experience. I like silver and green, silver charteuse, 50/50. Have an assortment of colors and find one the fish like. Size 0 or 1 is best. I also like the kokanee colors of chartruese with hot head and purple with hot head. If you see lots of fish but no bites after a short while, change colors and find what works.
