Got out the river at the salmon hatchery and boat launch just before 7 am. Fished from the bank for a few hours with no luck. Spent the first third looking for cutthroat and when that didn't work changed targets and tried my luck with the salmon. They were jumping but not biting. The guys on the boats near me weren't doing much better.

Headed over to the trout hatchery around 10 and walked and waded to Blue Creek. Fished up the creek to an old metal bridge. Nothing was biting there either. Near the parking lot I waded out in the river and hooked a fish that got off around 1145. At 1215 I landed a nice cutthroat with a large brown caddis larva.

After another hour without any action I headed home. Not a great day but better than being at work.
