Floated with four friends on pontoons from Sultan to the Ben Howard take-out. We fished dozens of seams and holes all the way down and everyone got their limit. It was a great day and amazing to see the schools of fish racing up river below the rafts. We all fished different rigs throughout the day with equal success. My highlight was hooking into four and landing two on my new float rod I built on a 7wt switch rod blank. My first rod build and built specifically for hooking pinks on a small centerpin reel. The second one in the net was a beast buck that took the float down and proceeded to hug the bottom, giving off a wicked head shake and tug every once in a while. A stubborn, great fighting fish as were most of the ones we hooked into that day, and awesome to land on the light set-ups we were all using.
