Went camping with my Boy Scout patrol at river bend camp ground. The 5 of us started fishing at 6:00 and fished all day. At the start of the day around 6:45 I caught a 8lb hatch king hen. But it was a bit of luck since I managed to snag a line in the fishes mouth. Around 8:00 I tied a spoon on my friends line and decided to take a practice cast to make sure it would cast well. First "test" cast fish on 30 seconds later fish off. Second cast fish on 30 seconds later fish off. Third cast fish on 2 min later fish breaks the 30 lb line. Between 8:30 and 4:00 we went 2/4 on pinks but released one cause it was really beat up. Around 4:30 I had just finished tying a white marabou jig. First cast fish on, after three minutes of the fish sprinting up and down stream and a good look at the ~20 lb hach king she spits the hook. It was a sad way to end the day but it was nice to at least leave with one fish

Guys it was a king it had the color and the black specks on the back like a king so for all of you who keep saying coho, it's a king. The picture was taken with my iPhone so it doesn't show good detail.
