My buddy Robb and I put on our rain gear and ventured out to the Duwamish with his boat for some chrome adventure. Must say we had a blast. To say it rained hard would be an understatement. About two hours in we got tired of playing with cut herring and plugs. Robb put on a Dick Nite and got a bump right away. I tied one on too and went 1/3. Saw a nice chrome Coho follow my lure right up to the boat. Couple more casts and it was fish on! Lost that one after a couple minute fight, but got to see it was a nice chrome Coho. Landed the next one. A small chrome hen (4-5 lbs). Then hooked up with a third larger Coho that went ballistic slapping across the surface and came unbuttoned. Would have liked to have fished some more, but we were out of time and needed to head in.

1. That is not a 3 report that is a 5 . The rain today increased everything by 2 grades.

2. How much water did you bail from your boat?

3. Everyone in Auburn is going to love this weekend rain. Fish are going to be flooding the river up there mid next week.

Get your corkies, yarn and 10 foot leaders ready guys, Call the Dentist cause I hear dem teeth need cleanin!!!

No doubt 5 stars with the rain taken into account as well as a gold star for your lapel! Way to get after it!

10ft leader? How do you cast? Not trying to be a di*k, just asking :)

Bmastro777 - I was using a really simple setup. Silver Dick Nite with a 4ft leader, a barrel swivel with a 1/4 ounce slip weight above it. Since I was in the boat I was casting up river toward the bank at about 1 o'clock, letting it sink for a couple seconds then varying my retrieval (slow to fast and an occasional twitch). I had multiple bumps and hooked up three times in about an hour.
