It's been a ridiculously long time coming, but finally popped my first Coho of the season today. Ran down to the water at lunch and took my eggs with me. Yes, I've resorted to eggs in my desperate search for Coho. Water was still running pretty high with fairly low vis and current was moving at a good rate. Side drifted eggs with an orange corky. Had what I think were a couple hits that took my bait and lost a few setups before finally getting a good take that resulted in headshakes. Took my time getting it in to shore and successfully netted it. Not large, but a slightly blushed (still bright enough) 23"-24" buck. Noticed it'd been hooked before as the hook was still in it's gullet and it had about 10 inches of heavy duty mono trailing out. the mouth. Not sure how it snapped that leader, but happy to have him on my punch card. Glad the Coho skunk is off. Tight lines. Forgot the camera, so no pics. Sorry.

Hey bentrod, not sure where you are fishing but I was watching peeps pull in silvers today left and right in tukwila today about 1030. They were fishing under the bridge at the tukwila community center at 42 Nd ave. they were drifting eggs also. Was surprised to see how many fish were caught there with the high water. I think the fish are hugging that side because the river is flowing at a good rate and it is more shallow there. Maybe try there! Good luck!

Thanks everyone and thanks for the tip Harleygirl. My fish turned out to be even smaller than I'd hoped. Didn't even make 2 lbs of fillets off the thing. Bright red meat though, so happy with that. Ready for his big brother now!

Great job and way to stay at it! Was wondering how this weekend was going to be with some favorable tides but am hitting the salt in the early AM with my brother-in-law out of Everett but may try and get down there after the Hawks take care of Indy on Sunday!
