Today was my first time EVER fishing the Skykomish River. What a beautiful river indeed. I found a nice lonely spot along the bank which I had to hike to for quite some time but well worth it. As I arrived I see tons of silvers surfacing in this hole right in front of me as well as half dead humpies. I threw on one of my secret jigs and start doing work. Immediately hooked into a nice buck, a little blush but not bad. Constantly hooked into fish for the next two hours losing coho and hooking humpies left to right. Finally right before heading out I Land this beautiful CHROME buck. I noticed that most of the coho I lost were straightening out the hooks on my jig heads. Suppose Ill invest in more quality and durable ones. Anyhoo, Good luck out there, stay warm, and TIGHT LINES!!

If you are tying your own jigs, and don't mind the expensive ones. I use Owner 2/0 2x heavy model number 5316-121. those hooks won't bend unless you are using 20lb or higher. I live On the Puyallup, so I have to wait for the water to clear up for jigs to be effective. Nice fish!

You are the second person to tell me about the Owner brand. I will definitely be purchasing some this weekend. I was using the Cabela's brand and they are sharp, just not durable. Thanks for the tip Pirahna!

I second what piranha said about hooks. The Owner 2X is my favorite jig hook. Your other gear will fail before that hook bends.
