OK after getting skunked the past two days after work I am back into the action! Did my usual float fishing with home cured eggs; 3-2-1 with brown sugar. I ran into Nate Treat at the hatchery; always great to fish with Nate and BS little and see his different methods of fishing and what he is offering the fish. I am always learning more every time I fish.
Started out a little rough as I kept missing take downs, big take downs bobber all the way under water. As soon as Nate left I hooked up three casts in row. Losing one and landing two. A 10 LB hen and one 6 LB hen. A new leader and a few more misses later I hooked into a 8 LB buck and that was it for me! The small hen was very bright; the large hen was getting dark but still a keeper as far as I’m concerned.
Tight lines and good fishing!
