Fished the Skagit both Saturday and Sunday. First time every fishing this river so was not real sure where to start. Decided to troll brad's plugs and just watch the finder looking for some productive water. I soaked one of the plugs in my egg juice over night and shortly after anchoring and getting it out it got hit. Sadly, my drag was so dang tight it snapped me off before I could get it loosened up. Anchored for a while longer and got nothing so started to troll just a little faster then the current. Did this for a while and finally found a hole that produced. Ended up with two to the boat and somehow lost another four. Sunday went right to the hole and got hit every pass for a while. Once again got two to the boat and lost another 4 or 5. My girlfriend had a hard time getting the rod out of the holder once the fish hit so lost a few that way. Saturday fish hit pretty much any color, but Sunday all but one fish came on blue. Several other boats joined us on the hole and picked up fish out of it as well, however they were using purple. Thanks to rseas for his reports on how to troll plugs.

Nice. Were you guys trolling up by the gardner boat ramp or down low? We were there Friday and didn't have any luck.
