Well it looks like its slim pickings on the lower river until we get some rain. Yesterday we trolled around in Mount Vernon and got fellow WAlaker Kaveman into his first river silver. Today a buddy and I decided to head up to Burlington and pound a drift where fish like to hide in the wood. We started drifting and casting wigglers into the snags. About half way down my buddy pulls in the first and only fish of the day. On the second pass allong the snags I hooked up and the fish seemed like it was going to just give up, after wrapping itself up, but just before we could get a net under it it came alive and shot under the boat. I ran to the front of the boat trying to get my pole around but the fish then shot back to the other side behind the boat and my line met my prop, Good bye fish. Oh well thats fishing. After that we could not find anymore fish.
