There's chrome in them thar hills!! That is if you know where to look. Hit one of my favorite spots on the Green after work tonight. Only had about an hour because the sun was starting to go down. Hooked up and lost my first fish on my third cast. Was a feisty chrome Coho hen (approx. 5-6 lbs). Continued to work the stretch from top to bottom. Had several more bumps but no takers. About 20 minutes later as I did a slow retrieval through the main hole I felt the familiar tug and it was fish on! The water was clear enough that I could she a nice bright fish go berzerk about twenty feet out and three feet below the surface! She did a half dozen full body shakes trying to throw the hook. Then took off and ran about 40 feet down river towards the tailout. I successfully turned her back up river and brought her back up into the slower water. After about five minutes she was tired enough that I could net her. Turned out to be a nice fat chrome hen (approx. 7-8 lbs). Honestly, came out tonight hoping to C&R some Chum and I'm thrilled that I brought home a beautiful Coho instead. Almost had two!!!

Nice work Tele. Guess there are still some bright silvers out there. Were there many rolling & splashing out there?

Thanks guys. I've had a good season so far this year. I really enjoy being on the river and when I've gone out I've caught fish more times than not. Can't ask for much more than that!

drsafl17 - Didn't see any signs of fish. Just hit a couple slots I know have been fishy in the past. And used lures that have been producing for me. Tonight it was all about silver Dick Nites. Best of luck!
