Arrived at the bridge hole around 9 am with my roommate. we floated jigs and tossed hardware for an hour before I got my first coho of the day on a purple blue fox, it wasn't in bad shape so I bonked it, put it on the card, it was on the small side though.. Maybe 3 1/2 or 4#s. Next few hours were pretty slow, so I brought my roommate to the hatchery, he forgot his waders, so we couldn't fish the good holes, he left fishless at noon I stayed.. I put on my waders and started making my way to the Sherman hole, my waders started to fill.. It was pretty cold to say the least. I manned up and continued to fish anyway. Later I also noticed that I ripped my pants.. Gear was just falling apart, one of those days...I fished the Sherman hole with a few other guys, I did get a few missed hits, drifting Dick night there, but nothing stuck.. I was using a 5ft telescopic Ul set up with 8# as mainline. It's light but fun. Saw a few chum caught today, bunch of firetrucks. Lots of fish in the river.. When I left the Sherman hole I stopped at the bridge hole there were 5 guys blatantly snagging fish. In plain sight.. it was pretty brutal. I saw one guy keep a tail hooked dark chum...brutal, other than that it was a fun day though.
