Patience is a virtue?.....No patience and determination equals "DINNER"
Once again this fatboy packed the worms and mellows. And with all the determination 3 weeks without fishing could manifest. We headed out to O'Sullivan Damm aka Potholes reservoir. Weather was mid 60's cloudy windy and a few sprinkles. My brother and I have always been die hard anglers. And this was primo weather for us being Minnesota transplants. we settled in at what we call fatboy Beach, but is well known to all others as Medicare beach, The eastern shores by perch point trailer park. The water levels seem about normal and color was excellent, we were jacked for some major trout bites. Unfortunately what we wanted and what actually transpired this day weren't exactly the same! after about 4 hours of plinking worm and mellow combos, I decided to switch to captain courages red white and blue power bait, and a piece of crawler. After about 20 minutes my pole bent down, like i had hooked jaws! after playing the fish a bit i landed a beautiful 33/4lb Rainbow trout, and my brother quickly switched baits as well. It paid off! our patience and determination to have fresh trout for dinner was no longer a wish. it had actually come to pass! and after around 8 hours of fishing I am happy to say we brought home, 4 bright solid bows! and with them fresh asparagus now being harvested in the basin, You could see why "THE FATBOYS" Rog and Tim continue to be two happy well stuffed Washington Anglers. Thats my report for now. everyone take a kid fishing and enjoy our States Bountiful resources but don't get gready, practice catch and release when ever feasible. for Washington Lakes .com "HAVE A GREAT DAY"
