Fished retier pond hatchery side on Thursday, got there around 6 found out not a lot of people out fishing on a rainy day.fish from 6 till 11, using my home made jig(pink marabou with uv dubbing),pink worm and piece of raw shrimp. Fished same set up the whole time. Around 9 am I thought I have a bite when my bobber starting to bounce weird but did a poor job on setting the hook, and missed it. Then few more cast later did same thing but this time I just adjusted the stopper on my bobber to reach a little deeper I thought I just reached the button but when I yanked it a little it start fighting then my heart start pounding blood raising adrenaline running I got a fish on.land that fish.and happy to know it was a hatchery one and she was a fatty and huge this will be my second steel for the season.bonk it and tag it then went back on casting. Hours later it got really cold so decided to call it quit. The next challenge is hauling that monster to the parking lot it sure did hurt my shoulder carrying that fish. Only saw to fish caught on is mine. I didn't get a chance to weight and measure it but I'm 5'4" so u guys be the judge on this one.

Yesler, my leader was 3ft long and I have my bobber stopper in a foot, so I would say 4 ft deep is where I caught that fish. Don't know if that make sense.
