hit just about every area with bank access this morning/early afternoon with no luck. was using every spinner and spoon I had. walked across the bridge at shafer state park to see if I saw anything swimming by but only corkies and drift gear in the trees on the closed upstream side.
after giving up I went up to the family property on the upper east fork to check winter storm and trespasser damage, some of each. while walking the river upstream to talk with my neighbors I spooked 2 steelhead from along the bank, closed waters so they're safe unless the run into the fly fisherman and the drift guy who the neighbors saw up there fishing out of season recently. the drift guy after noticing he'd been seen started playing with his dog and throwing sticks and trying to play off that he wasn't seen.
