Well... just to start off... Sunday was the greatest day of my life... Period! Got a super late start and my dad dropped me off at the bridge hole parking lot at 11am, and i walked across the road down into the river and walked up the river to the sherman hole. No one was there suprisingly! so i fished there for a little bit and only saw a little trout and super old coho roll. So got nothing out of there and the water was super low and clear. So i move down to the bridge hole and walk on the bridge and see nothing but the bottom of the river... started thinking all the fish were gone, didnt even see a trout! So i fish it anyways haha, got nothing not even a bite on a worm. So i move downriver to a hole that looks good because it wasnt as clear as all the other holes... it was nice and deep so the fish wernt so spooked. so i setup shop there! fishin all alone, threw some beads, worms for trout and then i got to my jig rod... after about 30 casts i watch as in the middle of the run my float sinks and all i think is snag... i set the hook as hard as i could and the snag starts fighting back! Well it wasnt fighting that well so i thought it was an old coho but as it gets closer to me and sees me it realizes its hooked and takes off and shoots out of the water and i realize im on my first steelhead ever!! So it shoots out of the water a few more times and makes some amazing runs! and in the meantime im trying to get my gopro out of my bag! well i finally get it out and start filming and it gets close to the bank and i see its a hatchery fish! I run up to it and grab its tail and it shoots back into the water! So i finally get it on the bank run up and celebrate!! First steelhead ever! a gorgeous chrome 5lb hatchery fish. So i go back upriver to the bridge hole and run into a guy named Chris, talked to him for awhile and fished the bridge hole for a little bit, then i moved back up to the sherman, nothing, may creek, nothing, so i decide to go back down, oh and in the meantime im carrying this fish with me haha, talk to Chris again who is still at the Bridge then decide to go back to the hole where i got my fish. Get down there and 4 casts in with the same setup, same jig, BOBBER DOWN!! This fish jumps real quick and i realize its a bigger fish! Then it makes some runs and i get it close and see its ANOTHER hatchery steelhead!! YES!!! Greatest day ever! Ive been tryin to catch a steelhead for about a year and a half and i got not one but TWO!! Ahhh the quest is finally over! Ill be out Saturday for the closer if anyone wants to fish with me PM me and hopefully the fish gods will be with me again! So i filmed both fish and put a little edit together, check it out and subscribe to me on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aLJrZIWOTs

Oh man the look on my dads face when he drove up and saw one fish then i pulled the second one out was priceless! He was so happy for me and he gave me a high five! i was so proud!! And he kinda fishes, he wont put in the time for steelhead he just likes catching not putting in work, so he likes humpies and panfish and fish that are easy to catch! Ill be out saturday hope to see some of you guys!
