Well I m on Vacation Missed the Lake Wilderness Opener to many boat trls got turned away fished lake Meridian and my fire extinguisher pin fell out and shot off all over big mess still cleaning it up put boat under tarp and tried the River for Salmon my buddy caught a 20 pound springer last Sunday April 26th just up from the boat launch about where they usually start line up mid dam to boat launch beautifull fish lil black n green spotted corkies 8 plus on leader !! So me n big Jim he's retired railroad n Im Vacation Local Semi driver head to the spot n we got it used up to 2 oz cannon balls to get out far enough not to snag Big Jim moved closer to the boat launch and fit in well I would budge Jim lost close to a doz set uo me total 4 after 2 n half hours plus and only two fish saw caught just to the left of me at the big tree next to the water they were wading out n fast n deep water very scary (not me) but they could cast far enough to get into the fish we tried n tried n tied n tied !! Left n headed to Cabelas a checked out the sunglasses better weather on its way!! ME PERSONALLY NEVER LANDED A KEEPER AND TOOK HOME A NICE SALMON OR STEELHEAD FROM THE COWLITZ !! But I have seen it done! with determintation and alot of work!! they are there!! (Had a big truck throw a couple rocks at my windshield and two cracks luckily could be fixed) My uncle passed that night also Not goin good staying home bad weather n regrouping fishin gear u probabaly see my classified hear soon weeding out and being reasonable ! Ha!! FISH ON!!! PS thanks for your reports on Chelan my fishn buds declined weather issues smaller open boats maybe next year!! TIGHT LINES!!!
