got to haller park this morning at 6-615am,wasnt sure how it would be but saw a couple rollers, so gave it a try,started out with a chrome and blue crocodile spoon,then one of those flash glo spinners(chartruse and green with pink squid,and tried twitching jigs,then figured i might not snag my b.c. steel so i pick the 50/50 3/5oz and toss it out and started reeling in,(while im trying to ignore this guy next to me that is more focused on talking than seriously fishing,i have to leave at 715 so im making it count) back to the 50/50, i had reeled in a couple of times and then felt it stop and tug a little.. then more, fish on! i tell the guy next to me hey could you net this, and he didnt seem to get it, so i jumped to a rock to get my net myself and almost falling, then to balance i accidently gave it just half a second of slack line and he spit the hook my fault but i like to have my net a little downstream incase they run.it was right in front of me, it looked to be about a 4lb.other than that it was a good morning on the water other than the fish not biting,i didnt see any other hookups.but only a few other guys were there.
