Duwamish River

Method: Drift Fishing

Read a lot of reports, asked a lot of questions, and watched a lot of you tube videos in preparation. Went out on Sunday morning before the nets went in. The plan was to drift eggs and then try spoons. The tide was high, which I now know is less than ideal. I tired drifting close to the bank (that's where trout would hang out).
When drifting I assume you should look for a current seem, but what if there isn't one?
IE: the whole river is moving at the same slow pace. Then where should you fish your eggs? the bank?
Anyway, I got nothing fishing eggs, so I switched to a spoon when sunlight fully hit the water. Nothing doing.
I saw only one fish caught so I didn't feel to bad.
Any advice on fishing eggs would be more than helpful.
Thanks,

Sam
