Soooo, fishing is pretty lousy even with the recent rains. Fished Thomas Eddy 7am to 9am and it was dead. Most of the fish that have been hanging out in the flat are gone. I fish down lower and saw no sign of fish moving in with the higher water. The only time I have seen any kind of movement would be with the peak of the tide and then it is very limited. Maybe another day or two and something may show. I can't honestly believe its over already. Lots of boats moving up river and the parking lot at Bob Heirman wasn't even half full when I left at 9am.

Tried Tulaco and checked out the section of river that had been holding fish and they all bailed with the high water. I did see a few here and there rolling. Moved farther up in the prison hole area and nothing. Two guys were coming out with no luck and 3 guys were on the bank of rocks on the other side all with nothing. I saw one nice roller but that was it.

In both spots I drifted bait and a dick nite. I also twitched a jig and tossed a few spinners, nada. It looks like a lot of people are hanging it up for the season. I will be curious to see the hatchery numbers after this new rain.
