I hit the Green River enthused this morning - weather was supposed to be decent and not that much rain over the past couple of days. I was set up for chum fishing, but could switch to coho if needed. I tried my purple/black jig with a piece of shrimp on a bobber for 2-3 hours and didn't get anything. Saw fish rolling right by my bait, which made it even more maddening. I didn't see anybody catch this morning at all.
Came home and read the WA Lakes reports on how good the lakes were. I took out my trout pole and restrung the line, dug up some worms and headed to Green Lake. Got there just before sunset. Tried my worm for about 15 min w/no takers, then switched to a small home-made jig and caught a nice 9" rainbow just before it was too dark to see. I'm bringing both poles tomorrow. If the Snohomish river is dead for coho, I'll hit Tye lake like Huli did! :)
