Three day report, 10/10-10/12. Got to the river around 7:30 Monday morning, was a little disappointed that the river was so high after having no rain, but I guess the dam has been dumping water. Went up and down river from the golf course to Metzler park, trying to find a willing biter with no luck until 1:00pm right before I gave up got a 28" Male that was in decent shape.
Tuesday was a much better day even thou the water level stayed high, but I must have ran into a big school coming through because I hooked into 6 fish, was done by 9:00am with 2 nice hens and 1 male, the other three I lost before I was able to bring them to shore. I was glad to go home because it was freezing and the high winds didn't help.
Wednesday, got there @ 7:30am and was it cold? wow, the guides on my rod were freezing constantly. It didn't take long however, for the first one to bite, shook me up a little and took off, reload, 5 minutes later, another one, same story, lost it. I ended up keeping 2 one hen and the beast on the pic, I broke my jig trying to get it out of this guy's mouth.
Any way, over all a great week other than the freezing weather, and wind. But next week should be great, no rain and the river levels should go back to normal.
