It is unlawful to remove a fish from the water if it's unlawful to possess the fish. I appreciate the fact that you were catch and releasing and understand there's a element on this site that refuses to believe posts unless accompanied by a picture and unfortunate dynamic which has recently emerged, leading to acts like this and sometimes worse.for me the act of catching a fish is satisfaction enough without need of pandering for a pat on the back

Picture me, what a bunch of BS this fish was totally handled with care! Never touched a single rock. Netted him in deeper water and pulled him up for a pic and he swam off to finish his spawn. You could see the water dripping off. I'm so sure that every fish you catch (wild steelhead) you never lift even a little bit out of the water to remove the hook, because your such a sportsman. Pandering for a pat on the back? I fish over 250 days a year, this was a nice fish that I thought I would share with the board. In fact this was going to be the first of many daily reports on the local rivers. You know as well as I do that wdfw wants fish handled with care and released unharmed. That's what I did and have done for years. its nose in the air superior people like you that ruin it for all. This will be my last post.

Why would you ever take a picture of yourself doing any illegal act?
Why would you net a fish you are not going to keep?

This whole chain confuses me. Member posts pic which turns out shows technically inappropriate act, moderator removes post for everyone's safety ... random flaming ensues? I think everyone should just calm down. It looks to me the right thing went on here. If I randomly post a pic that shows something "illegal", regardless of whether it is actually harming anything, I would appreciate moderation nuking it. I dont need a phone call from the state, thanks. It wouldn't be hard to do. One rod with bait on bottom, other rod you're casting, you post a pic of awesome fish you just hooked on a spoon that limits you and other rod still sitting forgotten with bait on bottom? Whoodare, I suggest you ignore the trolls that are trying to rile you up. Have a good time, make some posts, ignore commentary. As a very, very long time troll (trollin' since 1995!), I have received no lack of incoming trolling, and I can tell you that if you're going to make posts on the internet, #1 NEVER justify yourself as you did in post #14, and #2 dont care what anyone else thinks. You do it for you.

Whorde what's wrong with the post #2? All I asked is whats the estimated weight of the fish was? Do you have some personal issues or something son.

Oy Va' (becoming my favorite saying). First, my bad, I should have locked the comments so no one could comment about the missing picture. Second, it doesn't help to bash the 5% of guys that actually submit fishing reports to this site, especially when you've never contributed a report to the site yourself. So if you're in that group you really need to tone it down. Finally, trust me, that last thing I and the mods want to do is remove cool pics of guys holding fish. But if they get posted the site gets bashed elsewhere as promoting illegal fishing activities. I know this rule is not liked by a lot of people, and broken by a lot of people. Finally, whoodare, my apologies for the crap slung your way.
