Fished the Nisqually for a few hours this evening. Tried my hand using spinners and after almost an hour of no luck I has a fish hit so hard it nearly ripped the rod out of my hands. After a few runs the fish came to hand and was released to go about its business. Shortly after I switched gear to drift fishing using a 3 ft leader and had way better luck hooking 5 and releasing 4. Oh the 5 that were landed 2 were in bad shape. I released all fish. There was a guy who after seeing me catch fish came over right next to me and proceeded to snag fish hooking them in the back, tail, and belly. It was pathetic and a poor example of sportsmanship. At least he released them all though kicking them back into the water from 4 feet away hardly counts. Besides that knucklehead the fishinges was good.
