Arrived at the Snoqualmie river around 8:00 am near where the Tokul creek forms. I have fished the Snoqualmie river before but this was my first time fishing this specific stretch of water on the Snoqualmie. When I first arrived I just walked around for a little while trying to find a good place to cast my line out. The water was running a little higher and much of the river was very fast but I eventually found one good pool to at least cast out my presentation in hopes of getting a bite from one of those elusive silver bullets. I was fishing with a bobber and jig and occasionally tipped it with roe. After fishing for a few hours and no bites I eventually left but I will be back next week and will try out some different rigs too. Maybe drift fishing with a spin n glow or corky and yarn with some shrimp or roe or maybe cast out a spoon or spinner. I am still on my quest to catch my first steelhead and I will never give up. That's all part of fishing. It takes patience and you just have to work at it. Try different things, go to new spots you've never been to before and work hard and you will be rewarded with success. Tight lines everyone and happy steelheading.
