Great day. My partner and I wanted one more Coho outing on the Chehalis. This time my partner's girlfriend came to enjoy a nice day on a river and try to catch her first fish. We hit several holes but could find a fish. It's awful late for Coho, but felt the rain may have bought the last of the Harbor holdouts up the river.

The rain started on and off but wasn't too bad. We had to turn on the heaters as the temp did drop during the day.

Finally toward the end of the day and at one of the last holes, Amie finally hits a fish. It made a run past the boat in both directions and a small jump, then the death roll around the line. She was finally able to subdue the animal and slipped it into the net. Her first fish of any kind and this made the whole day.

Finally pulled out about 1:30, but had a great time.
