Went fishing with my buddy yesterday on the Cowlitz. took our time and launched late, which was awesome since we completely missed the rain. We launched at blue creek and boy were there a lot of boats down there!!! Did not see a lot of action but we were just happy it wasnt raining. Finally towards the end of the trip my buddy thinks he got snagged but after a min of tryin to figure out whats goin on the fish strips line and flashes her bright side to us. After a nice intense short fight we hauled in the beautiful chrome hen. She was 31in long and about 18in around and full of eggs. Took out at mission right as it started to rain again. Good day on the water. Got to put my buddy on his ever steelhead and what he claims is one of the biggest fish he's ever caught!! Feels good to get others on fish.
