Took the small boat out north of Newport last night going after smallies. Started fishing at about 4pm and had the first 2lb in 5min. Ended up bringing in 6 at around 2lb then hit 645pm that's when it got hot. 4 fish that had to be close to or over 4lbs each. I caught them on custom made spinner bait and Rapala lures was a great time.
