Decided to fish the middle fork Snoqualmie today and mapped out a large section I thought I would be able to wade all the way. Incredible day fishing. Water is extremely low and warm so wet waded about 2 miles of the lower river. Waders are in storage for the summer. Landed 48 fish today and probably had well over 100 bites. Fish were everywhere. Single barbless hooks makes it tough. Lots of fish would bite and not get hooked as well as stay on for three or four seconds than pop off but it helps hone the skills as far as setting the hook and working angles. All fish caught on my favorite spinner, #2 copper blue fox vibrax. Fish caught in pocket water, deep slots and pools as well as riffles, didn't seem to matter. All healthy, chubby and fought very well with a lot of jumpers. 90% cutthroat with a few rainbows thrown in. Biggest fish today was 16"(Picture next to my size 15 korkers wading boot for perspective). Another was close to 15" and around 8 or 9 that were 13-14". Rest were 8-10" with the usual little guys around 6" I have never fished this section as it is normally to high and fast to wade but with low water and catch and release year around with single barbless a lot of these fish are growing good size and are hardly pressured at all making them very aggressive.

I don't mind sharing a little due to this river being catch and release and single barbless hooks only but there are a couple of things to point out. I was required to be in the river 80% of the time as it is fairly large and deep in sections. Waders wouldn't be a good idea as they would probably fill with water in a couple crossings if you slipped even a little. Most of the time you will need to wade out half way to reach the deeper slots, logs, rocks etc. Crossing the tailouts is the only way to wade it and it can be deep in spots but overall pretty easy with this low water. Find an easy access spot and hike is my best advice. Good luck.
