Did the Puyallup on Sunday night and it did not disappoint. Landed around 10 fish and had about that many more fights. Remember light tackle for these fish. Light weight and please stay barbless. Used pink, green and fire colors on a rotation and all but two where in the mouth that were landed. They do strike if you get it in front of them. many people are out there so be safe and remember...they are just pinks.

hi. thanks for report. tell me. did the pinks seem smaller to you, than usual? chuck told me his, were all like 17". and the same for other fish he saw landed. seems pics i have seen from the salt, look small, also. hope as the run picks upl, they are larger. i vistited voights creek hatchery last week. seems they are tearing it down. the new one is across the road, and belongs to the muckelshoots. looks like the state has stopped raising fish on the puyallup system. they were only getting funds for a limited amount of coho in recent years. hence the small coho returns. hope this dosent mean, the tribe will return to seven day a week coho netting. which is what was gong on back in the 90's. im sure the numbers will go back up, tho. with a new hatchery, and more funding. no excuse, in my book, of only haveing under 2000, kings return, when they had up to 62k coho return, in 91. willipa bay, and its streams, have a four adult king limit this year. or coho. only wild kings need released. enjoy the fall. peace. tight lines!

Yes. The Puyallup pinks for the last few runs have been a bit on the small side... Compared to the Nisqually run. Those Nisqually pinks can be donkeys !
