This is actually a combined report for a 4 day odyssey of persistence from Thursday to Sunday.

Thursday - jockeyed trucks around and ready to leave. My truck died in the driveway w/a bad starter. Mechanic came to my place to fix it. Day totally shot.

Friday - arrived at the boat launch about 6am. Saw fish rolling. We trolled/Fished upstream until we got past Hwy 9 bridge. Saw fish rolling and some folks catching. We ended up with 2 small ones.

Saturday - lots of boats putting in today. It was a pretty slow day for fish - but the river was full of inconsiderate bozos that go out of their way to 'rock the boat' (literally). We fished all day with only one landed and a handful of hookups. We saw a few fish chasing our lures... pink dick nite's, 50/50 pink/white grub tail jigs but the most successful lures were the pink maribou's and pink squid jigs for actual hookups and predictable hits.

Sunday - put in early again. Tide was a lot lower and we drifted upstream. I had 3 on and one landed within the first 20 minutes of fishing...literally right in front of the boat launch. Caught/landed my 2nd one about an hour later - great fighting and bright buck. My buddy Tim caught one as we were drifting back in about 1pm.

Six in the freezer for 3 days in the water isn't what I call 'going off', but more fish seemed to be rolling each day and they came upstream in schools every few minutes.
