Back at the Snohomish river for some humpy action.
After epoxying the first of two coats of my custom Lamiglas SI-IH, I set out to fish as the epoxy dried.
Upon arriving, the fish didn't slouch in hitting my drift gear. Dick Nites worked wonders again, including catching a couple of larger bucks. Watched in utter glee as the usual crowd of snaggers could't even hook a fish for a couple of hours as I knocked them dead. Soon some loud, unsportsmanlike sorts came down and snagged humpies with jigs until dark, keeping them all. Usually I can tune out the obnoxious sorts by moving away from the crowds, but they seemed to follow me as I caught fish. As darkness approached, my goal was 36 humpies (or 9 limits) caught and released. After hooking and loosing 6 fish in a row, I finally got my 36th one and packed it up.
Majority of the fish up here are colored up. Some have spawned already, seen lots of hens w/o eggs. Hooked something feisty and large that may have been a silver, but probably just a bright hen humpy. Saw an absolute tank of a king jump as well.

Tight lines, y'all! (and severed lines to all you snaggers)
